Dr. David von Rosen is an international investor and entrepreneur who has founded successful global businesses in the fintech, gaming, fashion, insurance and real estate sectors.
Through the VONROSEN family office, our founder and Principal invests in global businesses, with a particular focus on the renewable energy, gaming, nutrition, defense and mobility sectors.
Von Rosen has an appetite for risk. He invests in companies early on in their journeys and often takes a majority share, leveraging his capital, network and experience to fuel their growth.
David has founded several gaming and gambling companies around the world, including Gibraltar-based Lottoland in 2013. Lottoland serves over 18 million customers and is licensed in 15 markets around the world. It also holds the Guinness World Record for the highest online win in history, of €90mn.
More recently, he founded Web3-powered FAVRR, a platform that allows users to buy and trade stakes in their favorite celebrities whilst supporting philanthropic causes.
In 2024, von Rosen launched 25 Degrees, a super prime property development company specializing in bespoke residential properties in Dubai.
He founded the membership-based fashion label VONROSEN in 2008. The online-only brand produced high-end fashion basics, including a timeless black turtleneck pullover, famously worn by Steve Jobs as he unveiled the iCloud at the WWDC conference in 2011.
David established his first entrepreneurial success with CareerConcept, an innovative higher education funding business, in 2022. In 2008, for this work, he was selected as a 'Young Global Leader' by the World Economic Forum in Davos, a program that brings together a community of people with the 'vision, courage and influence to drive positive change in the world'.
He believes that everyone has the ability to achieve whatever they want if they're motivated and hungry to learn. He's supported countless entrepreneurship causes and efforts over the years, and seeks out ambitious, resourceful and relentless founders to invest in – over rigid business plans.
David was born and raised in Germany and currently splits his time between Dubai and Switzerland. He studied economics and business at the European Business School and later gained a PhD in Economics from the University of Economics in Prague in 2007.
Outside work, he is an avid adventure sports enthusiast, practicing, among others, motocross, rock climbing, kitesurfing, downhill biking and freeride and GS skiing. He also collects sports cars and modern art and is working toward a Private Pilot License.
