TechEU has covered the launch of Quantum Frontline Industries, a new German-Ukrainian joint venture between Quantum Systems (a VONROSEN investment) and Frontline Robotics to establish Europe’s first industrial-scale foreign drone production line for Ukraine.
Under the “Build with Ukraine” initiative, the venture will mass-produce battlefield-proven, multi-use drones developed by Frontline Robotics. All systems manufactured in Germany will be delivered directly to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, with volumes defined by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence.
The production model combines Ukrainian frontline technology with German industrial automation, creating a new framework for cross-border defence co-production. Quantum Systems will lead industrial infrastructure and operations, while Frontline Robotics will provide licensed designs, training, and full lifecycle support aligned with NATO standards.
Beyond scaling drone production, the initiative is expected to create employment opportunities in Germany for Ukrainians and accelerate the delivery of critical capabilities to Ukraine’s defence forces, marking a significant step in European defence-industrial cooperation.
