David von Rosen wrote an article for Khaleej Times arguing that the UAE is in the perfect position to challenge the US’s dominance in the tech race as the world enters the AI era.
The US has led the way in tech for decades, with Silicon Valley being regarded as the international epicenter of tech innovation, but von Rosen says that the tide is changing.
He argued that a number of factors are contributing to the UAE’s tech sector becoming the main competitor to the US, including the UAE Cabinet's adoption of a national artificial intelligence strategy and a proposed curriculum designed to teach AI skills to thousands of students and teachers across the Emirate.
“The UAE has been making huge strides in the tech space and all signs point towards Dubai being the AI superpower.”
Dr. David von Rosen
David concluded that despite the US’s well-established lead in the tech world, the UAE has been laying the groundwork to get ahead of the international competition by dominating the AI field.
