He explained that despite its reputation as a hub for oil and defense, Dubai now offers many opportunities for sustainably-minded investors. And with the West dialing back on ESG commitments, David argued that Dubai now provides a safe bet for the future of sustainable investing.
"As multinational companies are starting to tighten their belts and scale back their ESG and sustainability initiatives, businesses in Dubai are doubling down, with ESG uptake on the rise throughout the country."

The Emirate's tech and real estate industries, in particular, provide the potential for strong returns for responsibility-driven investors, explained von Rosen, with the rise of 'cleantech' startups and sustainable practices in real estate operations.
"As ESG and responsibility-driven investors take stock, pivot away from the US and consider their options going forward, Dubai should be at the top of their lists."
